Without a Designation of Origin (Valdeorras - Galicia) - a selection of 100% Garnacha Tintorera (Alicante Bouschet) old vines from a vineyard located in Fontei (A Rúa) with clay soils containing granite and slate. Hand-selected and harvested. Short maceration between 15 and 22 hours. The following day, the must is drawn off and fermented on its lees in two 230-liter used oak barrels. Classic pump-over. The final wine is neither filtered nor clarified, and no sulfites are added.
Tasting notes: Light ruby color with a shallow depth of color due to the low extraction during winemaking. Aromas of moderate intensity, slightly rustic with notes of damp forest, dry leaves, wet earth, a touch of blackberry, ripe raspberry, delicate floral notes of violets and withered roses, and soft spices.
On the palate, the entry is fresh, with fine but perceptible tannins, accompanied by a lively acidity that adds dynamism. A medium finish leaving a lingering impression of fruit, wild herbs, and a subtle bitterness. A wine to be savored slowly, inviting you to discover its evolving nuances. Recommended by The Sommelier.
