Nacho González La Perdida Meu 2021

No D.O (Valdeorras), Galicia, Spain - Alicante Bouschet, Mencía and Mouratón (Juan García) and 30% white grapes Godello, Dona Branca and Palomino. New wine from a new vineyard of 0.4 Ha. in O Ruxe, in the village of O Barco de Valdeorras. This plot is located in the middle of a chestnut and cork oak forest and is characterized by limestone soils (very rare in Galicia, exclusive to this northern and border area of the Valdeorras designation of origin). The cofermentation of red and white was carried out spontaneously in a clay jar of 400 l. After 5 months, move on to a used 300 l oak barrel. The nose has a high intensity, mainly primary notes, red berries, strawberries, raspberries, lilac flowers, earthy notes, graphite. In the mouth it has a medium, fresh body with crispy tannins that balance maturity. It is an easy drinking red with excellent matter and freshness. Recommended by El Sommelier.

NACHO GONZÁLEZ LA PERDIDA MEU 2019

Nacho González is a winegrower and winemaker of natural wines "consecrated" in the few years that he has been making wine in his homeland Larouco (Valdeorras), where he vinifies in his "garage" cellar. He is not a prophet in his land, since although he has name followers in Spain as Pitu Roca del Celler de Can Roca, most of his sales occur in several countries of the world such as the USA, Canada, Japan, Korea, Australia and several European countries where he is already a producer of natural cult wines.

Of firm convictions, Nacho does not contemplate any other way of vinification that is not of absolute respect for nature and work in the vineyard and vinification without chemical interventions. In 2018, in total, it produced about 12,000 bottles distributed in several “cuvees” such as Godello's white “O Pando”, a pink “Poscrito” and the reds “O Poulo”, “O Trancado” and its new wine “Meu” . Its wines do not carry any type of sulfur addition or addition of any exogenous product.

The 2019 vintage  was characterized by the abundance of grapes and by the optimal conditions in which the harvest took place.

La Perdida Meu 2019 is a wine from a new 0.4 Ha vineyard in O Ruxe, municipality of O Barco de Valdeorras. La Perdida Meu 2019 has a cherry color with ruby ​​trim. The nose has a high intensity, mainly primary notes, red berries, strawberries, raspberries, lilac flowers, earthy notes, graphite. In the mouth it has a medium, fresh body with crispy tannins that balance maturity. It is a "wine of thirst" with excellent matter and freshness, to drink without getting tired. Limited units

Production: 1.300 bottles.

Optimum consumption: 2029-2024. Alc: 13%

Pairing: octopus "a feira" style, barbecue of meat, white meats, a hunting paella, chicken or meat, musaka, semigrasos cheeses.
