AOC Champagne (Côte des Bar), France - 100% Pinot Noir from Thomas de Marne's vineyards in Ville-sur-Arce. The plots are situated on the characteristic Kimmeridgian and Portlandian limestone soils of the Côte des Bar, which impart a pronounced minerality to the wine.
The base wine is aged for 11 months in oak foudres. It then continues its evolution in the bottle for 17 months or on its lees. It is neither filtered nor fined.
