Vin de France (Anjou-Loire) - 100% Chenin Blanc from vines over 60 years old, planted in schist and sandy soils with volcanic remains that impart minerality and tension to the wine. Viticulture is organic and biodynamic, with no use of synthetic chemicals, very low yields (around 20–30 hl/ha), and entirely hand-harvested, guaranteeing healthy, high-quality fruit from the vineyard.
In the winery, Le Petit Chemin 2024 is vinified with minimal intervention: the must ferments with indigenous yeasts in vats lined with Vaslin fiber without strict temperature control and then ages in the same vessels, often made of reclaimed wood or fiber, for a period that adds complexity and texture. The wine is neither filtered nor clarified, and in many versions, no sulfites are added before bottling, reflecting a natural winemaking philosophy that allows the fruit and terroir to speak for themselves.
In the glass, this Chenin Blanc displays aromas of ripe white fruit and fresh floral notes, with a combination of round texture, vibrant acidity, and mineral salinity that clearly reflects its schist soil origin. Its character is both serious and pleasurable, with good structure and a gastronomic profile that makes it suitable for pairing with white meats, charcuterie, soft cheeses, and risottos. Its style is geared towards the enjoyment of the purest and most expressive Chenin Blanc, with its fruity frankness and saline tension.
