Domaine Vincent Paris Saint-Joseph "Les Côtes" 2024

Ref. T0208041E

AOC. Saint Joseph (North Rhône), France - 93 James Suckling. 100% Syrah. The grapes are despalillan 100%. Perform a pre-fermentation maceration for several days at 12ºC and fermentation begins naturally. In the mornings and at night the vats are traced with carbon dioxide gas. Once the fermentation is finished, the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks and used oak barrels from 2 to 8 years of age for 8 months in order to interfere as little as possible in the varietal. In the bottling a light clarification is carried out, it is not filtered. It has a subtle and elegant nose of red and blue rubs, violets, peppers and balsamic. In the mouth the texture is very refined and balanced, the tannins abundant and silky and a long finish that invites to repeat. Recommended by The Sommelier.

Domaine Vincent Paris Saint-Joseph 2018

After 4 years of viticulture and winemaking studies, Vincent Paris created his own winery in 1997 after acquiring 1 ha in the prestigious and small designation of origin Cornas, in the north of the Rhone Valley. Thanks to a land consolidation, in 2007, “La Geynale” was able to acquire some of the best centenary plots with a great reputation in Cornas. (We have reserved The Sommelier for this magnificent payment for an upcoming special Club lot).

Currently Domaine Vincent Paris has 8 Ha; 1.5 ha in Saint-Joseph, 6 ha. in Cornas and 0.5 ha of Vin de Pays.

The Saint-Joseph vineyards are in the best sloping plots of granite soil in the municipality of Ardoix 30 km north of Cornas. Viticulture and oenology is organic as far as possible, does not use insecticides or chemical fertilizers, treatments are limited to a minimum (usually 3 or 4 per year), and only the herbicide is still necessary on steeper slopes difficult to work . Pruning is severe, manual leaflessness at the level of the clusters and the harvest in green are done to obtain the highest quality and concentration of the grapes.
