Washington State, USA - 97 PARKER. Predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon with 11% Cabernet Franc, 11% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot, and Malbec.
"The intensely colored 2014 Sorella is a predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon blend that includes 11% Merlot and 11% Cabernet Franc, with small amounts of Petit Verdot and Malbec. Cassis, smoky earth, graphite, and chocolate emerge from this rich, full-bodied, concentrated, and magnificently layered beauty, with sweet tannins, exquisite purity, and a superb finish. It is a sensational wine, and it will be interesting to see how it compares to the 2007 and 2012 vintages in its maturity. 612 cases produced.
If you are looking for classic Bordeaux blends from Washington State with aging potential, look no further: this superb winery is the answer. As always, they release a few appellation blends (Esploso and Sorella) and numerous single-vineyard wines (Champoux, Ciel du Cheval, Mays', and Two Blondes). The wines display unique personalities and have a wide drinking window." (Jeb Dunnuk-Robert Parker).
