Château Branaire Ducru 4ème Cru Classé Saint-Julien 2022

Ref. T0203142

AOC. Saint-Julien (Bordeaux), France - 96 PARKER. This blend is dominated by 60.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, accompanied by Merlot (31.5%), Cabernet Franc (5.5%), and Petit Verdot (2.5%), reflecting a classic Left Bank profile with Cabernet Sauvignon's structural and aromatic prominence.

The vineyard sits on deep gravel soils with a clay subsoil, which promotes balanced ripening and contributes the fine, structured character typical of Saint-Julien. Vinification is carried out by plot, with precise winemaking and aging in French oak barrels for approximately 18 months, with a significant percentage of new oak that integrates gradually.

On the nose, it displays an expressive and refined profile, with a predominance of ripe black fruit (cassis, blackberry), accompanied by floral notes, fine spices, and classic nuances of graphite and fine wood.

On the palate, this is a balanced and profound wine, with a broad yet precise entry, silky and well-defined tannins, and an acidity that provides freshness and verticality. The overall effect combines elegance and density, with a polished texture and a progressive development that culminates in a long, aromatic, and persistent finish.

This is a wine with great aging potential, capable of evolving for several decades, gaining tertiary complexity while maintaining its structure and balance.

In terms of food pairing, it goes particularly well with red meats, game, slow-cooked dishes, or aged cheeses, where its structure and freshness balance the intensity of the dish.
