AOC. Champagne, France - Pinot Noir, Meunier, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Arbanne, Petit Meslier, and other old grape varieties cultivated biodynamically on clay and limestone soils, rich in chalk and with great expressive potential. This Champagne cuvée is a Grand Cru produced by Benoît Lahaye in Bouzy, in the prestigious Montagne de Reims. It is a Brut Nature, without dosage, made exclusively from grapes harvested from a single historic plot called Le Jardin de la Grosse Pierre, originally planted in 1923 by Benoît's great-grandfather.
All the varieties are harvested on the same day and pressed together, reflecting the plot's identity as a single "garden" of diverse grape varieties. The winemaking process adheres to a minimalist, artisanal philosophy: fermentation with indigenous yeasts, aging in old oak barrels, and extended lees aging (approximately 36 months after bottling) before disgorgement, which in this case took place in September 2025. No sugar is added during the dosage (Brut Nature), which enhances the freshness, tension, and minerality characteristic of the terroir, resulting in a champagne of great aromatic complexity—with notes that evoke white flowers, citrus, stone fruit, and a pronounced saline and crayeuse presence typical of the Grand Cru of Bouzy—as well as very fine bubbles and a long, elegant finish.
