Sukhwan Ha is a Korean winemaker based in France, recognized for managing Domaine H in Torméry, located on the prestigious wine-growing slopes of Chignin, Savoy.
He came from the sommelier profession where he worked as a sommelier at a Michelin-starred restaurant in Lyon.
He also trained for a year with Pierre Overnoy and Manu Houillon at Pupillin, leading figures in the world of natural wine.
Sukhwan Ha develops a philosophy based on organic farming and natural winemaking, orienting his work toward faithfully expressing the unique characteristics of the Chignin terroir. His vineyards are located on primarily clay-limestone soils, favoring optimal balance in grape ripening. To preserve the freshness, fruitiness, and natural brilliance of his wines, he carries out both vinification and aging in stainless steel vats. Furthermore, Ha chooses not to filter or clarify its wines, applying minimal oenological intervention and using sulfites only in small quantities, only when strictly necessary.
