Gunther Steinmetz Riesling Trocken 2020

Ref. B0401180

German wines are categorized by the maturity of the grapes, sugar and potential weight of the wort, which are all equivalent concepts. The categories are, in ascending order: Kabinett, Spätlese, Auslese, Beerenauslese, Trockenbeerenauslese and (if the concentration of sugars derived from the natural freezing of grapes on the vine), Eiswein. The Beerenauslese are commonly known by BA, and Trockenbeerenauslese by TBA. Any Kabinett, Spätlese or Auslese can be dry (trocken), semisweet (halbtrocken) or sweet. The rest are sweet. The white wines are not as dry or semi dry, ie, slightly sweet doomed or are called "halbtrocken" (dry) and should not exceed 12gr / l of residual sugar. However, it is permissible to 18gr / l, total acidity of the wine is not more than 10 g / l lower than the residual sugar. Formula: acid + 10 until a total of 18 g / l residual sugar.
