Ard猫che (Northern Rh么ne), France - 75-year-old Carignan and 45-year-old Alicante Bouschet vines grown in organically cultivated clay-limestone soils.
The Jouret family's estate comprises twelve hectares in the southern Ard猫che region. The old, organically grown vines are planted on the slopes of the Vall茅e de l'Ibie and cultivated organically, without chemical fertilizers, and with meticulous soil management. They vinify plot by plot to create wines that respect each terroir and each grape variety. The clay-limestone soils and vinification are carried out using indigenous yeasts without the addition of sulfites. Maceration lasts for two weeks, followed by six months of aging in concrete tanks.
On the nose, it is clean, straightforward, even explosive, with notes of black fruit. Spicy hints are also present! On the palate, soft, velvety spices and the return of freshly pressed black fruit flavors. A perfect balance between freshness and a fine tannic tension!
