A.O.C. Champagne, France - 100% Chardonnay from vineyards located primarily in the Côte des Blancs, where the chalky soils and sun exposure favor the production of fine, minerally expressive white wines. This Blanc de Blancs cuvée blends base wines from the 2020 vintage (50%) with wines from a perpetual reserve begun in 2012 (50%), resulting in a balance between freshness and complexity. The Champagne is marketed as Extra Brut with a low dosage of 4 g/L after disgorgement, highlighting the purity of the Chardonnay and the wine's dry, elegant profile. After initial fermentation in stainless steel tanks and, in some cases, in old barrels, the wine remains in contact with its lees for an extended period, traditionally more than 36 months before disgorgement. This imparts body, complexity, and notes of fine pastry and ripe fruit, with an aromatic profile that combines white fruits, citrus, toasted almond, and a pronounced minerality characteristic of the limestone soils of the Côte des Blancs.
This wine originates from vineyards planted since 1970 in the Côte du Perthois and Premier Cru and Grand Cru plots in the region, cultivated using certified organic and biodynamic practices, with soil-friendly agriculture that seeks to reflect the terroir with minimal chemical intervention.
Disgorgement: March 6, 2025.
