La Seca, (Castile and León), Spain - 93 PARKER. 100% Verdejo from a 2.53-hectare plot at 750 meters above sea level, planted by Isaac Cantalapiedra and his father, Heliodoro, in 1981 on the classic river terraces of La Seca, covered with pebbles. Low yields are consistently achieved here, resulting in a wine with greater concentration, depth, and volume, imbued with the energy and tension of the limestone. The wine matured in French oak barrels for 11 months, followed by another seven months in stainless steel. 14% alcohol, pH of 3.26, and acidity of 6.63 grams. 14,000 bottles were produced. Bottled in April 2025. Recommended by The Sommelier.
