Mittelrhein, Germany - 100% Riesling from a specific plot called "Im Hahn" within the Bacharacher Hahn area, a steep vineyard along the Rhine River.
This plot is classified as VDP.GROSSE LAGE®, which in Germany indicates one of the best viticultural locations with superior soil and climate conditions for producing highly expressive wines.
The vines of IM HAHN grow on Devonian schist (Devonschiefer) soil, characteristic of the Mittelrhein, which imparts intense minerality and structure to the wine.
The climate along the Rhine, with moderate winds and solar radiation reflected off the slope, favors the slow and balanced ripening of the grapes.
Only the highest quality Riesling grapes from the Im Hahn plot are used.
To be a GG — Grosses Gewachs (Great Wine from a Great Vineyard), the selection of bunches is very strict, with low yields per hectare to ensure concentration and superior quality.
After hand-harvesting, fermentation takes place with native yeasts at controlled temperatures, preserving the aromatic purity and vibrant acidity typical of premium Riesling.
