Tacoronte-Acentejo, Canary Islands - 50% Listán Negro, 48% Negramoll and 2% Listán Blanco from Santa Úrsula known as Tacoronte-Acentejo. Three plots of centuries-old vines in La Corujera, one at 350 m. above sea level and the other two at 600 m. Vines trained in the form of a low vine.
2020 was very dry (half the normal rainfall), and they started harvesting very early, on August 11. Each plot was vinified separately with its native yeasts with some whole clusters (50% to 75%) in plastic bins and concrete tanks, with 20% of the wine made by carbonic maceration, which was a tradition in Tacoronte-Acentejo. The wine matured in 228-liter oak barrels for eight months. 5,500 bottles and 100 magnums. It was bottled in July 2021. 96 Parker in the previous vintage. 2024 not rated yet.
